What these terms cover.
These terms apply to the Signal Archipelago website and other public materials operated by Travis Paterson. By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information through it.
Using public research.
Public articles and briefings on this website provide reporting, analysis and opinion for general informational purposes. These materials are not tailored legal, tax, investment, financial, accounting, cybersecurity, engineering, medical or compliance advice, or an offer, solicitation or guarantee. You remain responsible for your own decisions, verification and appropriately qualified advisers.
Sources, companies and technologies can change after publication. The work distinguishes claims, evidence, inference and open questions where practicable, but completeness and error-free publication cannot be guaranteed. Material factual corrections are welcomed and may be logged.
Editorial independence.
- Editorial coverage is not sold and commercial work does not guarantee coverage or a favourable conclusion.
- Material client, sponsor, referral or financial relationships relevant to a published item will be disclosed.
- Subjects may correct facts but do not approve conclusions.
- Nothing on the site promises access, influence, introductions, investment outcomes or regulatory approval.
Paid services are separate.
Descriptions of research, advisory and software services are invitations to discuss scope, not binding offers. A paid engagement begins only under an accepted written scope or contract identifying the client, deliverables, fee, payment terms, responsibilities, limits and any specialist work. Website terms do not expand that agreement or create an implementation, compliance or outcome guarantee.
Copyright and permitted use.
Unless otherwise indicated, Signal Archipelago’s original text, artwork and site design are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may link to public pages and quote short excerpts with clear attribution for commentary, scholarship or reporting where law permits. You may not reproduce an entire issue, remove attribution, sell the material, build a competing database from it, or systematically scrape and republish it without written permission.
Third-party names, marks, images, quotations and linked materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used only as permitted.
Messages, corrections and source material.
You remain responsible for material you send and must have the right to share it. Do not send confidential, privileged, unlawfully obtained, export-controlled, personal or sensitive information through ordinary email. A message does not create a confidential, fiduciary, adviser-client or source-protection relationship unless separately agreed in writing. Signal Archipelago may use factual corrections or non-confidential suggestions editorially, with attribution or anonymity considered case by case.
Acceptable use.
- Do not interfere with security, availability or another person’s use of the site.
- Do not use the site to distribute malware, spam, unlawful content or misleading impersonation.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access or excessive automated extraction.
- Do not falsely imply endorsement, partnership, client status or permission.
Third-party services and links.
The site may link to providers, companies, events, research and other third parties. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link is evidence of a source or route, not an endorsement, warranty or claim that availability, pricing or facts remain current.
Availability and responsibility.
The site and free materials are provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Archipelago disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from reliance on public materials, service interruptions or third-party links. Nothing here excludes liability or mandatory rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Changes and contact.
These terms may be updated as the publication and services change. The date above identifies the current version. Questions, correction requests or permission enquiries can be sent to editor@signalarchipelago.com.
